The drinkers’ favourite, a 4.1% classic pale ale with a complex citrus and hoppy aroma. A recent survey revealed that Landlord has the highest proportion of drinkers who call it their favourite ale. And it has won more awards than any other beer, winning both CAMRA’s Champion Beer of Britain and the Brewing Industry Challenge Cup four times.

Botella se 50 cl en el festi de Avilés el 11_08_2014, en el momento. Color ámbar bronce con poca espuma blanca. Cuerpo ligero a medio. Más sabor del que me esperaba con toques maltosos algo tostados y dulces. Buena.

Bottle from co-op supermarkets. Clear amber colour with a creamy white head. The aroma was grainy, and lightly sweet. It had flavour of grain, herbs and a mild bitterness.

500 ml bottle. Pours copper with full to moderate head. Aromas of bread and light grass - not much on the nose - perhaps some light caramel as well. Flavors of grass, toast, and light malts with a bit of nuttiness. Subtle and pleasant. Very nice balance.

Bottle from SuperValu, Longford [300514]
Golden amber, clear, big frothy white head, good lacing
Aroma of quite pungent spicy hops, soft citrus, soft sweet pale malts
Taste of bitter spicy hops, bit peppery, marmalade malts, soft yeast, dab of citrus zest, cereal, caramel malts, quite complex
Palate - soft carb, medium body, bitter sweet marmalade malts, strong spicy hop that tingles throughout the mouth. Finish of lingering bitter spicy hops, earthy, zest, cereal, pleasant linger.
Overall - Surprised that the bottled version is lower than the cask, usually it’s the other way around. Had a bottle of this years ago before I was rating and wasn’t that impressed. This was very good and had that characteristic pungent spicy hop on the palate. I’ll certainly be picking this up again when I’m next in SuperValu

Flaske 0,5l fra Kilpishalli. Koseøl i heimen. Gyldenbrun. Høyt tett skum som varer lenge. Litt lacing. God - litt søt - fruktaroma. Aprikos. Smaken det samme med innslag av mandler. Litt tørr ettersmak.

Amber colour, white head that does not last long. Aroma is not very intensive, of malt and fruit. Medium bitterness. Light body, lively carbonation (too high for me). Average.
