In 2002, we introduced Stone Ruination IPA (and its imposing 100+ IBUs) as the first year-round West Coast double IPA on the planet. Then in 2012, in commemoration of its 10th anniversary, we introduced a new beer that would grow to be known as Stone RuinTen Triple IPA. Now, we’re bringing that back in all its over-the-top, cranked-to-11, maximum hoppy splendor, using every brewing technique in our arsenal to squeeze every last bit of magic out of a truly staggering amount of hops. It’s been 18 years of beautifully bitter evolution, and this stage dive into a mosh pit of hops is bigger and bitter-er than ever. Don’t call it a comeback.

355ml can. Hazy, bright, orangey, amber colour with average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white to pale sulphureous head. Dank, citrusy, piney, resinous, hoppy aroma, zesty notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit, candied orange peel, candied lemon peel, a minimally sweaty touch. Taste is sweet and bitter, pale and caramel malty, zesty, citrusy, piney and resinous hoppy, notes of almond, lemon, orange, grapefruit, candied lemon peel, candied orange peel, lemon zest, lemon pith, a minimally sugary, crystal malty touch; lingering, bitter, zesty and minimally mineral finish, widely disguised alcohol. Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Crispy hoppy, dangerously drinkable, West Coast at its best.

Can from Systembolaget. Imposing dank hop aroma. Slight orangeyness. Blood oragne gold. Taste is decent of course; strong ass hop and booze.

Hazy copper pour with a small off-white head. It smells of resinous hops with some citrus underneath all that resin. The intense flavor is primarily of resinous hops with citrus notes joined by a big malty backbone. Very good.

hazy golden to orange colour, huge, dense, yellowish-ecru head; aroma of orange peel oils, piney, resiny, grapefruity and celery notes; taste has the same notes with devstating hoppy bitterness; great one!

Can, 0.355l. Cloudy copper pour with slight red hue. Half finger frothy off-white head, medium lasting. Good lacing on the glass, thick and sticky. Rich nose, solid malty base paired with strong hop character. Ripe fruits, tropical notes, citruses. Sweet candy notes, hints of honey. Full body, soft carbonation. Thick and chewy mouthfeel and texture, soft and creamy, quite nice. Strong bitter taste balanced with moderate sweetness in the background. Aroma of caramel, slightly toasted, ripe fruits, tropical fruits, citruses. Grassy and herbal notes, pine, mild spiciness, hints of honey. Warming alcohol. Long lasting finish, bitter, boozy, mild spicy. Rich and tasty.

Can from Geers. Hazy golden-orange, stable, frothy, white head. Aroma of ripe mandarin, mango, grapefruit juice, citrus peel, peach, pepper, biscuit, green olive. Taste has sweet mango, peach & tangerine, bitter spicy middle mixing with grapefruit juice, all wrapped in a thick biscuity body with an oniony effect. Floral & peppery hoppy finish, quite hefty, lingering grapefruit & lots of citrus peel, spicy dankness. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Full-fledged TIPA with citrus & dank.

Clear dark blond to orange beer, big creamy bit irregular off-white to yellow head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: bit oxidized, sweaty feet, bit dank, floral notes, spicy touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit oxidized, nice bitterness, little fruity, sweet touch, lots of alcohol, resinous, very hoppy. Aftertaste: super bitter, resinous, hoppy, bit unpleasant, sweet touch, malty. Another old beer, that was already over 4 months old when it hit the stores...
