Can from halftime Inky black in color with a thin tan head that almost didn't form. Chocolate roast and pb on the nose. Licorice and roast with hints of burnt grains and lots of chocolate but not much pb flavor. Silky mouth sweet full body.

Pours pitch black with a medium tan head. Medium retention, good lacing. Aroma is coffee, brownies, toffee and roasted malts. Taste is full of coffee beans, cocoa nibs and roasted malts leading to a super thick finish.

A black beer, a head is almost medium and brown. Aroma has chocolate, toffee, roastiness, some coffee. Taste has richness of malts, chocolate, coffee, sweetness of toffee, also some bitterness. Rich, full bodied, very smooth, not stickyness. Very ggod, but still the final touch is missing.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a pitch black with a brown head that lingers. Big roasted coffee and roasted peanut aromas with some umami and cacao nib as it warms. Warming alcohol on the palate with peanut butter underneath, more dark chocolate and light treacly notes. Boozy on the finish, fairly thick body. Would be cool in a barrel.
