A high fermentation beer, Jenlain Ambrée is one of the first specialty beers in France and is been brewed since 1922. It owes its success to its inimitable taste stronger than all fashions. Its copper color, its aromas of cooked fruit and caramel make it a beer widely recognized for tasting but also a perfect ally for cooking.

Bottled. Pours amber with a smallish head, some caramel and grassiness. OK but was expecting a bit more.

A 750ml bottle, 7.5 ABV. Pours a dark amber colour with a white head. Dried fruit like peaches, dates, orange peel. Long finish carries the dried fruit. Smooth & easy to drink. Great balance.

06/07/2022 Aromat słodowy melanoidynowy, skoro to ambre to sie zgadza.

Pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma of sweet malts, slight caramel and toffee, some fruits and herbs. Still not very remarkable and a little too sweet, but it’s better than the Jenlain Blonde.

Tap at Cafe Studio, Haarlem: Amber coloured Biere de Garde-style brew, and this is the easiest one to drink in this style.

Can from Relais des Mousquetaires, Les Eyzies de-Tayac, enjoyed in the beautiful cave filled countryside. Amber coloured as you might expect. Slightly dryish-hoppy with a clear strength to it, it's clearly not the most cared for beer but at the same time it's not too bad.
