Altbier ist eine dunkle obergärige Biersorte, die traditionell in Nordrhein-Westfalen/ im Großraum Düsseldorf gebraut wird. Unser tiefbraunes, fränkisches Altbier überzeugt durch sein feines nussig-malziges Aroma, mit einem Hauch Rosine im Geschmack. Sein leichter Körper und seine angenehm leichte Spritzigkeit machen es zu einem sehr süffigen Bier. Ein Bier für Liebhaber dunkler Bierstile mit abgerundetem Charakter.

50cl Flasche. Ein trübes dunkel bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit einer großen beigen Schaumkrone. Aroma: Rotes Malz, Karamell, dezent würziger Hopfen. Geschmack: Dezent süß malzig, viel Karamell, Haselnüsse, moderate Bitterkeit.

Hazy amberish. Aroma is yeast cookie dough mandarin Cornflakes brown sugar. Taste is sweet mandarin and cake dough with yeasty slight sour and fruity stuff. Quite drinkable. A bit of yeasty texture but not mealy. Quite drinkable. Why not?

Bottle, thanks Dave! Cloudy tarnished copper, big golden foamy lacing head. Juicy light roasted, cereal, melanoidin malt aromatics. Medium body, mellow, grainy caramel roast, breakfast cereals, dry pleasant bitter backstop, hop perfume retronasal. Takes a few sips to get into, then it is delicious.

Flaska från Landbierparadis. Disig varmbrun vätska med medelhögt smutsvitt skum. Maltig och brödig doft. Mjuk rund munkänsla, lite tuggig, medelsöt, men smakbilden är ganska torr och mjölig. Smak av mjöligt knäckebröd, brödkryddor som drar åt snapskryddor, färskt trä, jäst. Trevlig

bottle from meibier.de. Amber brownish colour, tall and stable off-white head. Malty nose. Medium-bodied, intensive malty flavours with roasty hints, shy yeasty fruity touch, and medicinal-herbal hoppy accents in the bitter-sweet finish.

A really nice and refreshing beer with a fine character Hazy brown/ruby pour, and a fine head. Ok lacing also Pleasant aroma with some fruity and bready notes Balanced ok sweetness and a fine carbonation level Bready, herbal, fruity and some toffee in the flavor [Bottle at Kokkekollektivet in Halden, Norway]

Bottle from Hausmann Getränke. Slightly hazy red brown, very big sea foam head. Nice earthy, spicy caramel nose. Flavor has lots of malt, a hint of sourness, thin body, missing that astringent nutty-ish alt aftertaste I expect (though I'm no alt expert). Pretty good but not exceptional and I'm not sure how much it fits style.

0.5 l bottle from 'Bierothek', best before August 2021. Hazy, ruby with a medium large, frothy, stable, beige head. Sweetish, gently fruity aroma of caramel, red fruits and a touch of bread. Quite sweet, malty, gently fruity taste of caramel, bread crust, red fruits and a touch of nuts, followed by a short, slightly bitter, caramelly finish. Medium body, smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Tasty, but not really Alt-like. Way too malty and sweet, hardly hoppy. Pretty much mike an Irish Red instead.
