Altbier ist eine dunkle obergärige Biersorte, die traditionell in Nordrhein-Westfalen/ im Großraum Düsseldorf gebraut wird. Unser tiefbraunes, fränkisches Altbier überzeugt durch sein feines nussig-malziges Aroma, mit einem Hauch Rosine im Geschmack. Sein leichter Körper und seine angenehm leichte Spritzigkeit machen es zu einem sehr süffigen Bier. Ein Bier für Liebhaber dunkler Bierstile mit abgerundetem Charakter.

ABV: 5.2%. Light cloudy medium brown amber colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dusty, straw, sweet malt, light caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, caramel, straw, light earthy - nutty. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20210812]

Pours a hazy amber color. Aroma has hay and malt. Taste is leathery well rounded maltiness with dry finish.

(bottle) Hazy, amber to orange colour with a firm and tanned mid-sized foamy head. Slightly bready malty aroma, mildly toasted with notes of cereals, as well as a good dash of fruity and slightly spicy hops. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Initially malty and slightly toasty taste with notes of caramel, cereals, backed by mainly berry-fruity and slightly spicy hops; dry-ish bitter-sweet finish with a fruity hoppy tail. Nice, but no match for the legends from Düsseldorf. 27.VI.21

500ml bottle. Murky, orangey amber colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Toasty malty and fruity hoppy aroma, hints of toffee, nougat, nuts, caramel, a touch of mirabelle, mandarine, minimally doughy, yeasty overtones. Taste is grassy and slightly fruity hoppy, minimally dry, toasty malty, diluted hints of toffee, nuts, nougat, mirabelle, unripe peach, a touch of cookie dough. Watery and minimally crumbly texture, smooth and soft palate, fine and soft carbonation. Nice composition.

Murky light brown with a frothy head. Aroma of roasted grains, mixed dried fruits, caramel. Taste is very mildly sweet with a hint of cake dough at the end. Medium bodied, mild carbonation, almost too mild, giving the brew a slightly inert feel. A bit nondescript at times, but still pleasant.

Dark reddish amber colour, beige foam. Nose of sweet dried fruit, light metallic, bready. Taste is malty, sweet, some fruity notes. Well balanced. Very mellow and well balanced.
