2 Year Sour Blonde Ale Small Batch with Carlos Scuppernong Grapes
This 2 year old blonde ale single grape variety is a non blended component to Freeman Estate White. Carlos scuppernong grapes darken to a deep bronze color as the ripen and are the sweetest grape from Freeman property. The resulting beer has the most residual sugar of all 2020 Barrique blends. Sweet, fruity, and sour make this a refreshing end of summer treat and makes me excited to go harvest again in a few short weeks.

Bottle courtesy of Andrew. Thanks man! Pours an unclear, almost hazy honey gold with orange highlights and a small white head that dissipates. Acidic nose with lots of sour aromas. Grape, stone fruit, apricot and peach aromas. Quite acidic on the palate, but there is some residual sugar from fruit present. Lots of stone fruit and grape that lingers on the finish. Really sour and acidic.
