Cask at The Cock. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is soft, earthy, roasty, cocoa, treacle and ash. The taste is soft, roasty, dark chocolate, treacle, mild acidity, earth, charred wood and ashy wood with a dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Decent.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a dark mahogany with a thin off white frothy head. The aroma is grassy and a little floral. The aroma is lovely and refreshing, slightly watery, but hoppy, spicy, with hints of chocolate and liquorice on the palate. A superb beer.
