Real change is here! No longer will American beer lovers be forced to choose between those quirky, eccentric beers of Belgium or the explosively flavorful IPAs of the United States.
We have brewed the change we have been waiting for!

Liberally hopped to an audacious degree, our Belgian Double IPA reaches across the aisle to bridge the seemingly contradictory brewing philosophies of the old world and new. Our beer uses generous portions of Pilsner and Vienna malts to give it its hazy golden color and rocky white head. Two independent dry hop additions of Simcoe, Chinook, Amarillo, Hallertauer, and Spalt put aside their differences to form a delicious coalition. Floral grassiness dominates the nose with fruity hints of bright citrus well represented. Its subtle spicy flavor comes from a Belgian yeast as well as generous doses of German hops in the kettle. These aggressive flavors are complemented by a determined bitterness and a full but dry finish.

All of these characteristics come together in a nonpartisan spirit of cooperation to form a beer that is both righteously flavorful and drinkable.
Enjoy!

Bottle picked up from Beers of Europe, consumed at home Sunday 5th October 2014. Pours glowing murky orange with filmy white hops. Soft in mouth, spicy in mouth, a sweet spicy orange fruity bite. Bit disappointed to see this was bottled 2012! Not sure how long BOE are keeping some of their beers for. A7 A3 T7 P4 Ov15 3.5

Bottle, Domus Birrae, Roma. Shared with Slothez, Superbowl session. Hazy amber pour with a middling white head. Quite a pungent fruity hop laden beak. Flavour followed suit with a hearty dollop of piney hop in cahoots with some sweet malts yeast and spice. Bitterness falls into the cruiserweight division. Scores high on drinkability. A very solid Double IPA that just stumbles a little short of being a true world beater.

Pour is a hazy copper with a large white head. Aroma is a sweet citrus hop with a bit of grass and onion. Flavor is a citrus and pine hop with no real malt presence. Also I don’t get much of a Belgian yeastiness. Finish leaves some honey like sweetness. It’s was ok but nothing great. Decent hoppyness to the beer but not much beyond that.

Bottle - Belgian yeast with orange and lemon hops and a nice malty sweetness. Hazy dark orange with a white rich head. Lots of orange citrus, a big acidic bitterness which fades into a yeasty, orange candy sweetness. I have never been a fan of Belgian West Coast crossovers. The yeasty bitterness always competes badly on my palate and this over the top version is the same.

Slightly hazy yellow color, small white head. Some spicey yeastyness, citrus hoppyness. Medium-bodied. Citrus, resin, some Belgian yeast kind of fruityness. Long lingering bitterness.

22oz bomber pours with a hazy deep gold body that supports a white head. The aroma offers up citrus hops, apples and then spicy Belgian yeast notes. The taste begins with rich malt sweetened citrus hops as well as Belgian yeasty spices and sweet fruity esters. To midway and into the finish hop bitterness comes forward and gets to a moderate level for an IPA style. Pretty nice stuff.
