Clear deep amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Palate is light with fine carbonation. Smooth malt, unsweet dark toffee streak. Trace of cream. Whisper of citrus. Light finish. Says itโs a bitter but it really isnโt very bitter, it is a little dull.

Pours like heavily brewed tea with a short tan head. Aroma is raisin, barley... Dark fruit flavours, berry, raisin.. A slight oxidized-sourness to it. Not exactly pleasant.

50cl bottle. Thick white creamy head. It doesnโt taste or look like a string bitter. Dark clear amber pour. Pretty nice brew though

500ml bottle - This is a good one. Nice round nose of malt and dark fruits, a good syrupy oily mouth feel, good dark body with a lasting white head. Bit of booziness kicks in as an afterthought to let you know itโs got a bit of ABV there. A nice pint that goes down easily and surprisingly refreshing.

Brown colour, off-white head. Malty aroma, caramel, light yeast, light milk chocolate. Quite bitter flavour, hops, sweet malts, boiled eggs. Caramel finish, more boiled eggs, light hops.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a deep orange to amber glare and a small white head. Aroma is caramelish and butterish. Dry malty and breadish. Bitter, dark malty and caramelish. Bitter and malty finish. Slight butterish and caramelish finish.

50 cl bottle at Bishops Arms Marinan, the "new" one, on July 23, 2010BB 29.10.10Clear dark brown color, medium tan head. Smoke, sausage, sweet, malty, salty scent. Fruity, esters, alcohol, metallic, square taste. Medium thin mouthfeel, low bitterness. Smoke aftertaste.

Pour is a chestnut with a large tan head. Aroma is roasted malts with a little earthy quality. Flavor is toasted malts with some dark fruit and again some earthyness. Finish leaves a very sour fruit on the tounge as this goes down. A decent little beer and i was suprised at the sourness at the end. Or maybe this is just off?

Cask gravity at Rare Breeds BF 08. Deep russet/orange/dark brown. Dryish aroma with some fruit. Decent strong dark beer. Not overly roasty, fruity or syrupy. Decent hop on end. Some really good malts. Balanced beer, bit of spice. Good and surprising.
