Een goudgele zonnige kleur en fruitige smaak. De zorgvuldig geselecteerde mengeling van bleke moutsoorten zorgt voor een ronde fruitige smaak met een bittere ondertoets.

Old bottle, looks good. Beer in the glass not too zippy, golden, small head. Aroma a bit alcoholic. Starts a bit sourish, modest dry, more and more fruity. Finish a bit unbalanced. Dry aftertaste. Not so good!

0.33l bottle. Pours a golden yellow body with a thin off-white head. Nose is sour apples, yeast and some alcohol. Lively carbonated and medium bodied. Slightly sweet with green fruits, hint of banana, white sugar and honey. The combined sweetness and the strong sweet alcohol makes this a bit too sugary and sticky to be great, still Mr.Satan does not make a bad brew considering the temperatures he has to take into account when he is brewing.

Bottle, 10C. Clear orange, large fluffy white head that lingers and laces well. Bead looks higher than it feels. Smells of spiced oranges and bread dough. Taste is pretty sweet with a little balancing sourness and a drying finish which has cloves, and white pepper. Not terribly complex and balance gets out of whack to sweetness as it warms, but a nice drop all the same.

33cl bottle from the Wine Company, Slough. Golden amber with a loose white head; heavily carbonated; aroma of honey and spice; apple, pear and grape flavours with a dry tickle of yeast and some warmth to finish. A reasonable blond style Belgian ale.

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Pure gold clearness with a thin off white head. A very thinnish slightly estery not very good strong Belgian golden ale. Could be like Duvel, but so far away as to be untrue. Just too thin in the mouth. Not enough body to carry the 8% alcohol. No off flavours other than a terrible carbonation sting on the finish. Not great.

Bottle marked as best before 9/9/2008. Pours with a large foamy white head and a clear golden body. Aroma is slightly hoppy, with a buttery presence, caramel, belgian yeast, honey, alcohol and corn bread. Taste is alcohol, grain, thin burning honey liquor, cobwebs and cardboard. Thin, dry, bubbly and oxidized.
