33cl bottles at Lau Chao - Lau Chep Restaurant in Hanoi. Pours clear yellow with a minimal white head. Sweet and malty without much flavour. Worked well with Vietnamese food. I could choose between this and Heineken and I drunk several bottles of this and didn’t touch the Heineken. This is not a great beer, and I would prefer Saigon Special, but it’s quite drinkable. Clear golden colour, fluffy but diminishing white head, medium lacing. Aroma starts nice, with malts, bread and hay, but changes towards candy sweets, potatoe oil and fusel alcohols. Malty flavour, light sweet, some vegetables. Medium short finish with fusel alcohols, light bread and something resembling cauliflower.
Starts OK, but the smell turns quickly, and not for the better.

330ml bottle. Pale clear yellow with thicker white head. Like bamboo juice with carbonation. Decent sweetness and acidity. Nothing spectacular but also not made to pour it away.
