Tap @ brewpub. A dark copper colour, white lacings. Aroma of strong pine hops, alcohol and fruits. Flavour of caramel malts, hops and alcohol. Low carbonated. Alcohol is overpowering.

On tap at Olde Peninsula. Deep murky red-brown body, thin-medium tight light tan head. Intensely winey, berry-like sweet body, boozy, with abundant citric hops in both the nose and flavor. Alcohol is warming but pairs nicely with the candied fruits and caramel. Reminds me a bit of Founders Devil Dancer but sweeter and a bit less rindy. More of a barleywine than a double IPA with the huge malt backbone, but I’m certainly not complaining.
