Pouring a beautiful soft cloudy pink and smelling of a tropical vacation, our Guava Gose is like a sour mashed wheat beer dosed with the largest batch of guava we could get away with. The base Gose has a balanced lemony tartness from the presence of malted wheat, Himalayan pink sea salt and coriander with a flowery bright smoothness from guava. The end result is a perfect balance of tart, sweet, and sour, leaving you refreshed and wanting more.

12oz can at share. Golden pour, hazy, small frothy head. Tropical fruits dominate the aroma with evidence of the tartness to follow. More fruity tart sweetness in the taste, with a pinch of salt. Nice.

355ml can. Murky, yellow-ish golden colour with huge, frothy, mostly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Tart-ish, tangy, fruity and mineral-salty aroma, notes of guava, lactic hints of sauerkraut. Taste is sour, fruity, tangy, citric and lactic sourness, notes of guava, hints of salt. Fizzy carbonation, puckering, astringent palate. Slightly unbalanced, a bit over the top.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 7/31/2019. Pours opaquely hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and flufy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge juicy/tart/tangy pink guava, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of pink guava, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge juicy/tart/tangy pink guava, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light coriander spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour/tart/tangy pink guava, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of pink guava, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering sour/tart/tangy. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic, and lightly sticky/saline mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.9%. Overall this is an awesome fruited gose. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of pink guava, fruity/acidic yeast, coriander, sea salt, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish; not overly lactic/salty. Awesome balance of super juicy/jammy guava and Lacto complexity; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity for the ABV. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected.
