27/11/2021. Bottle from Hoptimaal online store, shared with ITFCfan/Dan. Pours black with a small tan coloured head. Aroma of ash, chocolate, coconut, dark fruits, coffee, orange, touch of spice. Moderate sweetness, light bitterness and a slight sour edge. Medium to full body, oily/creamy texture, soft carbonation. Good complexity.

0,5l bottle at home bought at De Bierliefhebber. Bottled 10/2020, BB 10/2021. black color, small coffee colored head. smells coffee, spices, bit like tonka beans, light vanilla, bitter chocolate, nutty. very nice smell. full body, soft carbonation, oily mouthfeel. tastes of coffee, spices, bitter chocolate, bit fudgy, nutty, hazelnuts, cookie dough, light cocoa, sweet and xmas spices. finishes quite balanced with some roasty notes and a subtle sweetness and flavours of coffee, hazelnuts and some sweet spices. this is lovely, needs to breath a bit at first, but great mouthfeel, and great flavours, very nice balance, compared to most pastry stouts this is not sweet at all (very subtle sweetness here). lovely

Pitch black pour with a tall tan head with medium retention. Notes of roasted malt, cinnamon, vanilla, coconut, coffee, cocoa, molasses, a bit of licorice, roasted malt. Smooth, oily texture, full body, medium-low carbonation. A really interesting beer, I'm liking this amburana. I could swear there was cinnamon in this beer.
