500ml bottle. Black pour with a tan head which doesn’t last too long. Aroma: coffee, roasted malt, smoke. Taste: same as the aroma, also some smokey/burnt notes, dark burnt fruits. Smooth palate, bitter but less so than I expected, dryish finish, medium body. Liked it but nothing special for me.

Black beer, brown head that reduced from being quite thick to thin and filmy. Bitter, coffee aroma. Bitter coffee in the taste as well, though there’s a touch of fruit up front to lend it a bit of sweetness and in the aftertaste there’s a slightly creamy quality. Nice rich, earthy stout.

Many thanks to Sean for this bottle! Malzig-röstiger Antrunk. Süffig, etwas dünn, aber trotzdem vollmundig. Röstmalz-Kaffee, feinherb, nicht zu tief. Intensives Röstmalz mit Espresso, etwas dickflüssig, lecker.

Bottle at home split with Sarah. Picked up from Brewdog online. Opaque black coloured pour with a medium loose tan head. Aroma is spicy veg coffee bean and slightly ashy roast and nutty praline. Flavour is dry roasted barley with nice fresh raw coffee bean, little bit of spicy. Palate is medium light and chalky on the tongue. Bit of dark choc lingers with some. Well brewed with no noticeable flaws, could do with some more body perhaps.
