For this small batch Bramenlambik, we used blackberries from Ferme Framboos, located in beautiful Huldenberg, Flanders. These blackberries, hand-picked in the summer of 2019, macerated for almost four months on a small foeder. We only used lambik (originating from one brew only) from one barrel for the maceration and no lambik was used for blending. The final fruit intensity is still 645 grams of blackberries per litre of Bramenlambik. 100% 3 fonteinen.

From tap at De Koppelpaarden, Assen. Funky and sour with tart red fruits, blackberry, barnyard funk. Tart and medium sour, mild puckering flavour. Not too acidic. Nice blackberry aroma.

Draft at Moeder Lambic, Fontainas. It pours hazy deep, bright purple with a dissipating pink head. The aroma is musty, funky, barnyard, jammy, tangy, bramble, blackcurrant, jam, spicy, wood and leather. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, tangy, crunchy, sour, zingy, lactic, bramble, blackcurrant, raspberry pip, granny smith apple, bright acidity, mellow funk and tannin with a drying finish. Medium body and limited carbonation. Fun stuff. Fruity and funky.

Keg at Artut, Östersund. Of course a lambic is always delicious. This was no exception but the sweet and sourness overpowered any barrel or fruit elements.

On tap at Mikkeller at Morebeer. Pours murky mahogany with a foamy pinkish head. Nose is super earthy, hints of blackberries and tons of funky horse blanket. Flavour has lots of tart blackberries, freshly cut grass, and tons of musty horse blankets. Excellent beer.

Keg draught at Roberto's Bar, Halesowen. Reddish purple, clear with no head. Sour aroma, lots of blackberry, forgaed fruit, forest floor. Taste is sour, loads and loads of blackberries. A touch of black pepper, some umami notes. Ends with a ge the vinegary sour. Light to medium body, soft carbonation. Absolutely lovely and a joy to try.

Tap at Malmo Brewing Taproom 14/12/2024 (as 3 Fonteinen Oude Braamlambik 2024) Tart sour blackberry fruity, wooden accents, barnyard, orchard fruit, more berry coming in, musty, berry skin,medium body and medium to high acidity, blackberry infused sour tart finish. Great stuff.
