This ale is traditionally highly hopped and robust to survive the long voyage to the Indian sub-continent. The result is a full-bodied Pale Ale with a zesty character. Dark golden in colour, pleasing toffee aromas, and distinctive floral citrus flavours.

Utóíze a korty folytatása. Testes sör.

500ml bottle from Waitrose. Dark gold, clear with a tiny amount of white head. Grassy and slightly astringent scent with floral notes and a hint of pine. Bitter taste with pronounced astringency. Stops short of being acrid though. Hint of tropical fruit in the aftertaste. This is actually pretty good.

50cl Bottle, thanks R&J! Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is quite English, fruity, not very citrusy, kiwi, melon, light malty. Flavour is medium sweet, fruity, hoppy, mix of melon and citrus, light malty, light bitter finish. Light bodied. Meh/OK-ish.

clear amber body, minimal off-white head; aroma of floral and toast notes, some bread and fruitiness; taste of malty sweetness, toast notes, hints of honey and nuts; something is missing, what would make it a good (or at least enjoyable...) IPA

BOTTLE 50 CL. Nice clean pale malts in the nose and in the taste, light fruity notes and big harsh bitter finish. Not much else. More like a bitter, than what we think is an IPA today.

Bottle from Oddbins. Appearance - golden amber with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - lemon and pale malt. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - not the most exciting notes but very balanced indeed.
