Location: 12 oz bottle from Total Wine - Vienna, 3/20/13
Aroma: The nose is sweet malts and coffee, some vanilla, and a little caramel
Appearance: Pours a dark brown color with a small tannish-brown head and drippy lace
Flavor: This one is fairly sweet for a coffee stout, definitely coffee, but also lots of sweet malts
Palate: The body is medium-plus, it has a smooth, creamy feel, and mild dryness
Overall Impression: This is a pretty solid coffee stout. It's pretty much what you'd expect it to be, though It leans toward the sweet side for sure. Pretty good stuff.

Bottle courtesy of Drake. Earthy roasty espresso and dark chocolate malt aroma. Black with a small brown head. Dark roasted coffee, earthy/woody, dark chocolate flavor with a lingering roasty finish. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle at a private beer tasting. Pours a very dark with almost no head. Strong overpowering coffee aroma. More subdued burnt coffee and chocolate notes. Quite nicely balanced.

Bottle courtesy of Iphonphan. Dark pour with a short-lived thin tan head. Just like it says on the label, there’s more coffee in this beer than there is at my local Starbucks! The coffee is all in the aroma and not so much in the flavour, which also has malty liquorice notes. The palate is a little weak and the taste is all up front.

Picked up two of these at a Whole Feeds in DC. Paid about $3 per bottle. Poured into a Dogfish Head Signature Glass A - Incredible beautiful pour. As a coffee geek, this pours like a very heavy viscous coffee product and forms a 1 finger head that disparates very fast to nothing. The edges are tan to brown color. S - Malts and LOADS of coffee! I can’t get any other smells from this other than TONS of coffee! T - More and more coffee is just all over this drink! I’m drinking an iced coffee loaded up with sweet malts and some dry fruits. That’s all this is and I love it. M - It’s a medium bodied beer with some mild carbonation and a nice lingering coffee taste. O - If you don’t like black coffee directly from an espresso machine or pour-over, you should skip this one. I’m in love with this coffee. It puts a new name to "Coffee Stout" and beers that call themselves that have a lot of work to do to catch up with this beer.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma has strong notes of coffee, milk, roasted malt, and a bit of vanilla. The flavor is sweet with notes of coffee, roasted malt, milk, and vanilla beans, leading to a dry, coffee, and vanilla finish.
