Inspired by the biggest game of chiquen EVER. What we’re dealing with here is the biggest beer we’ve ever made coming in at 14.5%! Thunder Chiquen was created with the help of a local barrel manufacturer here in Kentucky. Together we selected oak toasting levels and methods to achieve a “barrel-aged” flavor profile. This wood-aged imperial stout is thick, chewy, and viscous with notes of roasted coffee, chocolate, caramel, and vanilla.

From a pint can. Pours a clear dark cola with a small tan. Aromas of chocolate and oak. Flavors are bitter roast. Mildly boozy finish.

Dry oak, vanilla, coffee, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Black with large brown head. Moderately sweet coffee, vanilla, chocolate malt, and moderately bitter wood and dry hay flavor. Nice balance with mild boozy finish - hides its strength well. Oak flavor comes out nicely.

16oz can from Shrubber85. Black pour, still, a few brown bubbles. Roasty aroma, not boozy. Taste adds some sweet notes, bitter roastiness, woody, and dry. Still not a ton of warmth for a 14.5% beer.
