750ml bottle to the dome. Drank in September 2012, bottled in September 2011..ouch! EIther way seems to hold up quite well visually, nice steady beige head over a red-orange-brown body. Some mild seashore hops in the aroma. Not bad or off, but assumably a little more malty and less hoppy. Big bold malt tones and a resinous hoppiness bring it quite close to US Barleywine territory. Pretty solid offering, definitely respectable for holding up after a year.

Small sample from a bottle@SBWF2011. Deep amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity and floral hops along with some mild floral and grassy notes. Flavour is sweet malts, fruity and floral along with some mild herbal notes. Pleasantly balanced.

Deep amber with a lasting tan head. Aroma is citrus hops, sweet malts, dark fruits, light booze. Medium bodied. Flavor has nice hops, sweet malts, caramel, fruit, and alight booze note. Solid DIPA. Too sweet for me but solid none the less.

Sweet, cloying aroma with the hops showing grapefruit, orange and earth. As it warms, the alcohol really comes out on the aroma. Almost chestnut like qualities in the color, with a deep orange/amber and off-white head that lingers. Malty sweetness dominates the palate with the hops breaking through at the end. A little overbalanced towards the malt. The booze is slightly hidden. Cloying with a semi-dry finish.

Bottle from a trade with Gription79. Pours hazy burnt orange color with off white head. Aromas of floral, citrus, and pine hops. Grapefruit and pine flavors with sweet caramel and some doughy yeast. Slight heat from the alcohol. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation. Thanks Dallas.

Draught. Arbitrary score 4/5 for Appearance, as nighttime conditions prevented correct assessment. Hoppy and a spicy nose, displaying a mix of thyme and lavender, however fleetingly, mixed with mandarine. Hard orangepeel flavour, again a tad spicy (lavender?), hopoils. Very oily, also in the feel, bit burning sensation. Very hopoily IIPA.

Bottle @ home. 9/23/11 bottle. Cloudy, dark orange appearance with a light tan head. Honestly, this doesn’t smell all that fresh with an organic, spicy, a touch piney, toasty malty aroma. Fairly rich, toasty, light caramel malty, lightly piney, herbal, floral hoppy flavor. Ehhhhh.

750 ml bottle at Sorbon. Hazy, amber liquid with small to medium off-white head. Hoppy aroma with notes of pine, grapefruit, hops and light caramel. Smells very nice. Dry taste with very little sweetness and medium bitterness. A bit lighter bitterness than average for the style. Medium bodied with OK (maybe a bit low) carbonation. OK DIPA for a good price.
