Something of a tobacco/cola aroma. Dark brown color with a beige head. Thin bodied with mild carbonation. Dark malt, but not too strongly flavored. Smooth and pleasant. Not to die for.

Bottle. Pours a dense, off-white head over a brown, almost clear body. Nice sweetish nose with caramel and dried fruits. Sweetness, caramel and dried fruits in the flavor too, in a really pleasant blend. Full body, and a finish with chocolate and coffee. Porter meets belgian ale, and it’s a success story. Also, the surprisingly strong alcohol flavor found in the Hazelnoot Porter isn’t there, and that’s sure positive. (080215)

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of jbrus. Pours a clear, orangey brown with a neat, dense, beige head leaving some lacework. Vinous aroma with some dried fruit - raisins in particular. The body is medium with some burned caramel accents and a light whiff of smoke. Roasted malts also. There’s a vague malt bitterness but the finish is mainly sweet. 280208
