Clear amber beer. Good tan head. Sweet malt on the nose, somewhat lacto. Semi soft and semi dry palate. Sweetish creamy malt with sugary lactose gives way to fairly brutal hop. Bitter bitter orange and a trace of grapefruit. Aniseed alcohol. Trace of bubblegum as the beer warms up. Okay if slightly odd.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a shaker. Pours clear light amber/light orange with beige finger width head. Good small bubble lacing, medium body, sticky texture, and bitter hop aroma. Taste is caramel malt, some grapefruit, some pine, and bitter hop finish. A good amount of flavor, but overall it just average. Better as it warms.

Bottle from Half Time. Pours copper with a 4 finger foamy/creamy beige head. Aroma is hard to pin down. There’s a lot of stuff. Med+ body. Flavor is floral/perfume over a mild caramel. It’s not harsh and burning, but there’s a lot of hop in here. I think there’s enough to kill bacteria. There’s really a lot of hop in here. I think this is way underrated. My whole view of Matt Brewing just turned 180.

Deep orange colour with some very small yeast particles. Smells hoppy and a bit soapy, not enough grapefruit-like smell for me, but nice. Tastes accordingly. Good mouthfeel.

Small but vast creamy white to beige head on top of a clear dark orange, light reddish colored beer. Smell hops and grapefruit, but a bit faint. Taste hops and fruits, very good. Alcohol well hidden, very ’round’ taste. Nice carbo.

Pours deep amber into a Sam glass. Off-white head with good retention recedes leaving sheet lacing. Sweet caramel, bread and hay aromas. Medium-bodied with sweet roasted nuts and toasted caramel upfront turning sour before the lasting slight resin and grapefruit finish.
