Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of spices, hops, and elderflowers. The flavor is sweet with notes fo malt, spices, hops, and elderflowers. Thanks CaptainCougar for coming to Denmark and sharing this.

Virtually no head, over cognac-golden beer. C-hops, very fresh grapefruit on toast. This is a beergeek breakfast for me. Sweet-hoppy flavour, preserved orangezeste, with hop flavouring. Pretty IPA-like, all the same. Medium bodied, slick, alcoholwarming. Special, might like to see more of R & D. But as to Belgian - mind you, I couldn’t really find the Bretts. Second test, on special demand. Bottled 6-18-09 Huge, just-off white head, over bright orange-golden beer. 4/5 Very obvious Brett nose, like an Orval clone. Grapes, bit of the olives in Orval, but more pronounced spicy; watercolour paint, pigeon sh*t. 7/10 Sweet in the first instance, then reverting to bitter-(old) hoppy, with a short milky acidity in between. The finish is again bitter, spicy, olives, but also quite a bit of solvent. Bretts are abundant, where they were nearly absent in my first sample. 7/10 Creamy head, very dry beer, slick. 3/5 Maybe I was (too) warned, but I’m sure this would still have struck me as an attempt at an Orval clone otherwise too. Unfortunately, an attempt: I find it like an Orval cliché, with some Orval characteristics blown out of proportion. And above all, it lacks the proverbial Orval drinkability. Whatever, this is nearly a totally different beer from the first sample, all the IPA characteristics gone. And me, for one, I’m not sure I ought to be happy about that. Thanks to CK 14/20

50 cL bottle, courtesy of CaptainCougar. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is crisp citrusy and peachy hoppy, very fruity and inviting aroma. Dry hoppy and peachy to light brett like fruity flavoured with a nice yeaty note. Lingering fruity hops flavoured finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of CaptainCougar. Clear golden with a white head. Fruity and Bretty aroma - yum. Medium body, fruit, vanilla and spices with a distinct Brettiness. Dry finish, but never sour. Very delicious. 300809

Currently available only at the brewery, this first in a line of experimental beers was outstanding. Pours a nice golden color with thick white head. Aroma and flavor are spicy, fruity, complex, with hints of pepper, apricot, and other fruit. This is one that will only get better with age. Saving one of my 8 bottles will be a challenge, though!

500ml brown bottle. Murky orange-tan color. Big foamy head that fades out pretty quick. Mellow but astringent Brett and hop aroma, maybe some lemony funked-out wheat. Mellow/medium carbonation. The hop and Brett balance is pretty perfectly achieved, with neither being too intense, perfectly complementing each other. Some sour citrus on top of an ultra smooth, creamy, golden malt body. This beer is phenomenal. Tangy, earthy hop finish. Awesome.
