One of the oldest beer styles, Sahti come from ancient brewers in Finland. It is intended to be smokey with the use of juniper berries in the boil. Using Kveik yeast gives orange and farmhouse flavour, for a big complex flavour explosion. Prepare yourself!

440 ml can at the Beer Bank, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a lasting frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is smoke, piney hops, juniper berries. The flavour is light bitter with a malty, strong, rich tart citrus, herbal, smoky bacon palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Hats off to Urbanaut and Yeastie Boys for taking the risk and brewing something a little different. This is one that you will love or hate. There is no middle ground!
