500ml bottle picked up at Centra Colosseum. Crystal clear, amber-gold in body appearance. Film-type layer at the top, spotty lace at the glassware. Discreet smell of floral hops and pale malts. Modest taste profile of bittersweet fruits along with a touch of honey. Very smooth dry bitter ending. Fresh and clean in the mouth. Session qualities (hotel room, Oslo 13.12.2011).

0.5l bottle from Centra Colosseum, Oslo shared with The Tasting Crew. Pours a clear really golden body with a bubbly sidesticking off-white head. Aroma is if the kind I really don't like. Sickenig sour gastric tones, vegetables and watery dusty hops. Average carbo level and a thin watery mouthfeel. Thin and watery caramel and toffee flavors, luckily a bit better than the aroma. It' just tastes artificial and not to good. Drinkable but just not for my palate.

500 ml clear bottle, from Vaaland, Bryne. ABV is 4.7%. Golden colour, moderate white head. First a fairly nice aroma of Fuggles and Goldings hops, and, as our American friends would point out: some "skunk" due to the clear bottle. Hints of toffee too, but ending "artificial" and weird. The flavour is fairly dry, and the mouthfeel is not particularly rich. Some toffee again, and tolerable hops - but really not a beer to blow my socks off. Won’t buy again.

Originally rated October 2008. Comes in a clear bottle and bought at the LCBO as a seasonal offering. Pours a golden-orange colour with a nice creamy slightly off-white head, which leaves a bit of lacing and a thick coat over the brew. The first aroma I got from this one right after its pour was a pilsner scent. This soon went away, and a mild hop nose took over. Full streaming small bubble carbonation and crisp mouthfeel. The taste has a bit of citrus with malt, and the hop is present with slight bitterness, but overall, quite refreshing and well-balanced. Good name representing the colour, and again, I always seem to be impressed with Charles Wells brew for a great session beer.

Bottle at home. Clear, copper-gold pour with a foamy white head. Crispy malts, pasteurization and light earth on the nose. Pleasant flavor, light to medium sweet, lightly baked malts, biscuit, mild bitterness. Light bodied with average, tingly carbonation. Semi-dry finish, baked malts and light floral hops. Nice beer, easy drinking.

(bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly perfumed malty nose with traces of cara-malt and subtle citric hops. Moderately bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. (Cara-)malty, subtle grainy taste with shy citric and spicy hops; moderately dry and slightly bitter hoppy finish with delicately fruity and spicy accents. Rather unexciting. 25.X.10
