Bottle from Tesco; I’m having a cheap Sunday afternoon beer ticking odyssey £10 for 6 bottles, I’m not afraid to drain pour if I don’t like. Clear golden amber pour with white head, butter and a feint amount of citrus in the aroma, taste as aroma not liking this. Drank about 100ml.

Poured a light amber with a thin white head and some broken lace. The aroma is hoppy and buttery leading to a medium bitter, grassy, slightly malty flavour with some citrus notes on the palate and a nice lingering bitterness. I like this beer. The hop combination works well. It’s not packed full of flavour, but it’s smooth, balanced and when served cool, it’s a super refreshing summer beer.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy white head. Clear aroma of hop and malt with a faint skunky note. Bitter flavour of hop with a little dry finish. A little watery mouthfeel despite rich carbonation. Not bad as such but nothing really impressive, either.

December 2007: Clear, full English pint bottle (568ml) with an impressive golden crest/shield type label. Poured into a pint sleeve glass, surprise, surprise it is a burning golden yellow colour, the head a thin wispy white. A nothing aroma for me, no hops, yeast or barley. Lets just say there was no smell, not even as the beer warmed. OK, vanilla might come and stale bread. The taste is English Bitter and Pale Ale, a slight fizz, summer fruits and hops. Nothing overstated, but flavoursome never-the-less. The taste does stay in the mouth, but there is a weakness somewhere, it is not watery but it doesn’t feel like 4.7% either. Would I have another, most likely not, it just didn’t rock my boat at all.

Bottled 500ml (BZ, BB 01/2012)
Clear honeysih golden color, small white head. Cardboardish, grassy and slightly fruity aroma. Light to medium bodied with watery palate. Dry, grassy taste with flavors similar to tobacco. Light flowery notes. Very empty blond ale, must be better in casks.
