Bottle. Pours black with a small slightly tan head. Aroma is very complex, dark malts, chocolate, licorice and some coffee. A hint of peat smoke. Some booze. Big body. Flavour is big, rich and loads of dark malts, some sweetness. Very complex. Coffee, chocolate, licorice, definitely some cognac, prunes. A lovely Baltic porter, very balanced, beautiful BA notes. Lovely.

0,33l bottle from Alko. Bottled 25.8.2020, BBE 25.8.2023. Very dark brown, almost black beer with very small and quickly totally vanishing head. Mmm, aroma has a lot to offer. Smoke, roasted malts, licorice, vanilla, even christmas spices, barrel and some woody notes. Flavor has roasted malts with smoke, licorice, barrel and some cognac, wood & ashes. Barrel is not too dominant, but gives charasteristic. Wonderful balance, neither too sweet nor too boozy. Huge beer from Põhjala, one again.

Dark pour with a tall tan head. Toffee, mocha, espresso, roasted malt, spicy grains, soft smoke, a bit of oak, soft sherry. Really nice mix of sherry, toffee, coffee and ash. Right up my alley.

Almost black beer, a head is small and light brown. Aroma has liquorice, salt liquorice, sweetness of malts, some barrel, chocolate and vanilla, strenght of alcohol. Taste has salt liquorice, roastiness, barrel, balanced sweetness of malts, mild smoke, some wood and chocolate. Almost full bodied, smooth. Nicely complex, balanced without too aggressive barreling. Delicious beer.
