Bottle at home. Pours deep brown/lighter black with a beige head. Nose is dark chocolate, molasses, dried fruits, a faint smoky hint, vague coffee. Taste is chocolate, light coffee, molasses, spicy wood, a light fruity touch. Low to mid sweetness with some roasted bitterness. Closes with a sticky, sweet and boozy finish, has a medium body and soft carbonation. The barrel aging is not too apparent and the base beer also feels kind of empty and a tad too thin. Not bad at all, but by Pöhjala standards this is nowhere near outstanding.

The seventh of twenty-one beers for our 11th wedding anniversary. Išmar's. Three and half year aged. Almost clear, black colored. AROMA- roasted, liquor, prunes, lightly smoke, cognac. FLAVOR- smooth, slightly sweet, lightly bitter, quite strong alcohol, cognac, sherry, plums, pralines. Fuller to full bodied. Nice cognac character.

Semmi hab, fekete szín. Enyhén füstös, kakaós illat, konyakos, aszalt gyümölcsös vonásokkal. Aszalt gyümölcsös, konyakos, füstös, csokis ízek, némi hordós, vaníliás aromával. Testes, enyhén szénsavas, enyhén keserű, amit főleg a pörkölés ad. Kellemes jól összerakott porter.

Bottled (from Alko Web). Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, caramel, toffee and some alcohol with mild cognac sweetness. Flavour is almost rum like with liquorice, chocolate, toffee, alcohol and some wooden and vanillaish tones. Smooth to drink.

Bottle. I was in desperate need of porter tonight. And where you go for a sure shot? Indeed. Baltics. This one is indeed great. Raisins on nose, bit peated. Dry sticky mouthfeel. Oily texture. Raisins, bit of a peated feel. Great sipper.

Bottled 25082020. Glossy black, fine light brown head. Smell roasty, malty, some sweetness, light wood. Soft, bit thin. Heavy roast very bitter coffee, some booze. Light smoke, while there's some wood, the cognac is faded a bit. Tasty, but bit unbalanced.
