Level 6 bottleshare. Thanks to Dan. Opaque dark brown beer small, a few tan bubbles. Smooth palate, semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Rich dark chocolate malts, chocolate fudge where it intersects with the vanilla. Marshmallow comes across as maple like here. Nice touch of coconut on the back end. Fairly light finish. Pretty damn tasty and dangerously easy drinking.

Bottle split at L6 tasting, thanks to Danny Boyo, 31/08/2022.
Black with a good sized tan head that escapes to the edge over time.
Nose is chocolate melt, light roast, bourbon nip, raisins, toffee fudge.
Taste comprises chocolate, spice, bourbon bite, molasses, chocolate maltesers.
Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost.
Top drawer impy stout.

12oz bottled 4/12/22, drunk 8/17/22. Ebony, undetermined clarity. Small, fully/quickly dissipating, tan head. Big, enveloping, rich aroma with cacao and light coconut. Very sweet, very fudgey with rich brown sugar and very minimal bourbon barrel (would not guess this to be barrel aged). Light vanilla, more fudge, no alcohol. As intense and rich as the aroma is, the flavor matches suit, with similar brown sugar, molasses, rich fudge, light vanilla and low adjunct with moderate cacao and very light coconut. Maybe the slightest hint of bourbon spice, but it's super sparing. Ultimately, it's way too syrupy and sweet. The best imperial stouts, regardless of adjunct or initial sweetness, have a drying or good balancing acidity on the finish. This does not. Not at all. Sadly, the bourbon/barrel could have done this, but it's almost hard to believe this is barrel aged.

Bottle. An oily pour reveals a minimal sized light tan head over a dark brown to black body. The aroma is roasted and sweetish, with notes of licorice, alcohol and cocoa. Dark chocolate, booze, hints of vanilla and a good dash of caramel. It's full-bodied, warming and sticky sweet, with lots of dark malty flavors. Roasted malts, licorice hints, some cocoa, alcohol and dark toffee. Lasting finish. Indeed nice, but I think I'd prefer it at a bit lower ABV. 220108

Slightly brownish black, itty bit of brown head. Smell is bourbon, rich chocolate. Big-ass boozy beast, thick, creamy. Taste is great, plenty bourbon but the beer holds its own. Very chocolaty, some vanilla, coconut is subtle. Really delicious, but heavy.
Prairie still got it! Boozy bourbon forward sweet marshmallow chocolate coconut thickness. The finish is a bit heavy on the sweet but easy to think cake! And the bottle size is Perfecto.
