12 oz. bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Nose is loaded with intense bourbon barrels, light coconut, cocoa, vanilla, and caramel -- that smells pretty divine. Flavour is no less intense, with a huge bourbon barrel character dominating. The adjuncts then follow, with lots of cocoa nibs, caramel, and vanilla, and then a touch of coconut. Very sweet, but tempered by the bourbon and alcohol, finishing with lots of vanilla, alcohol, bourbon, and caramelized sugar. Excellent, but a little too sweet for me.

12oz bottle pours with a deep dark void of a body that supports virtually no head at all. The aroma offers up inviting clouds of chocolate rimmed by coconut, bourbon, booze and a sort of hazelnut kind of nuttiness off in the background. The taste is . . . . wow. Smooth silky chocolate to chocolate fudge goodness that runs the length of the experience. To midway the chocolate allows slivers of coconut, fresh vanilla bean and marshmallow to be noticed. Toward the finish smooth supple bourbon bubbles to the surface with the perfect amount of booziness in tow. This is just so smooth and balanced and deep. Terrific sipper with plenty of body after the barrel treatment. Wow. JESUS.

Pitch black pour with a tan head. Toasted marshmallows, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, milk chocolate, coconut. Sweet, but otherwise decently balanced, with the alcohol nicely hidden. Boatloads of cacao nibs, right up my alley.

Draft at Vintage Estate. Black with a small head. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate syrup and a bit of red wine. Flavor was intense chocolate syrup with bourbon and marshmallow elements. Exceptionally long finish. Wonderfully full and creamy body.

Bottle. Pours opaque black, small tan head, good lacing. Aroma is ultra rich, fudge, vanilla, toasted coconut. Reminds me a lot of my distant memories of bvdl. Flavor is quite sweet, light bitter. Full body, silky mouthfeel.

From a 12 oz bottle. Pours black with a short-lived tan head. Aromas of bourbon, cocoa and vanilla. Flavors bitter sweet chocoloate, dusty cocoa, and sweet marshmallows and caramel. Complex and delicious.
