On tap at Fremont, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out rich bourbon barrels, molasses, brown sugar, and oak. Flavour is much less sweet than Brew 3000; there's lots of bourbon barrels, some vanilla, molasses and brown sugar. Wonderful bourbon character, with the sweetness dialled down a fair bit, much to my preference. Complex and wonderfully done.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle. Aroma is malt forward with lots of caramel notes, toffee, and toasted bread. Lighter notes of roast, chocolate, molasses, raisin, fig and date. Light alcohol notes and hints of bourbon and oak. Pours dark brown with lighter brown hues on the edges and a medium sized, medium thick, dark mocha head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers in the center. Flavor is rather sweet with strong malt notes. Lots of layers of caramel and toffee with lighter notes of toasted bread, roast, chocolate and molasses. Medium light bitterness and medium light alcohol notes. Light notes of raisin, date and fig with hints of prune. Light oak and bourbon notes. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a bit sweeter than I expected, but it has really nice malt character. The bitterness could be turned up a slight a mount to balance the sweetness. The alcohol notes are well hidden. Barrel character is surprisingly light considering the extended aging.

Black body, with a small, light beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, toffee, dried fruits, liquorice, barrel notes. Tastes similar, with some booze. Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes warm, medium boozy, sweet, with chocolate, some caramel, some liquorice. Tasty. Nothing unique, but well balanced and complex, without too much booze. Great sipper. 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 16

Tap@MBCC 2021, Copenhagen - verging black with a tan head. Sweet and toasted malty with notes of dark dried fruit, caramel and toffee sweetness, medium body, sweet lingering malty close. Beautiful, one of the beers of the fest for me.

12 oz pour into a snifter, on-tap in Heroes & Legends, a sports bar in Lake Forest, California; 27th December 2021. What a lovely way to finish a mini session. Tight beige head on a near black body, oozes alcohol from the first sniff to the last drop, vanilla, bourbon and a sweet malty base made this a beer I'll remember long after the others I had before it during the session.
