Draught, taster @MBCC 2023, Copenhagen (Denmark). 06/05/2023. [#6.357 Global - #1.076 United States of America - #16 Fremont Brewing Company] Pours copper with a small white head. Aroma: peated malts, wood and bourbon barrels. Taste: dried fruits, peated whiskey malts and burnt caramel. Complex and delicious. Drinks very well. Next one please!

Tap. Brown color with beige head. Aroma is bourbon, rye, good barrel character, not overdone. Taste is raisins, caramel, fudge, again a well-integrated barrel, boozy warming finish. Barleywine at its best!

Small snifter at Growler Guys. Muddy brown pour, ring of head. Sweet aroma, malty, bourbon. Taste is sweet, molasses, woody, malty,. Not that boozy, surprisingly.

On tap at Pita Kabob in Visalia. Pours deep brown with mahogany highlights. Ivory head that lingers as small bubbles around the corner. Overt brown sugar and bourbon on the aroma. Rich dark bread aroma in moderate amounts. Flavor is massive bready sweetness with slight cocoa in the distance. Bourbon flavor comes through strongly in the back half of the palate. This beer is amazing.
