APPEARANCE: pineapple & peach juice like color, quickly dissipating off white head in to a few tiny islands and small ring on the side of the glass
AROMA: surprisingly restrained in terms of citruses at first glance; as it warms up and breath for a while in the glass I get lemon candy, lemonade, creamy candy with tropical fruits, soft citrus zest and very mild lemon tartness underneath, notes of papaya & lychee, very light bready malt backbone (feels neutral), hints of earth dust and sweet pine
TASTE: low carbonation, medium light to medium body, quite wet mouthfeel with gentle slickness and silky presence; moderate sweet onset, juicy fruit candy, light tropical vibe but hard to pinpoint the fruits, hints of pineapple, mango and impressions of stone fruits; quite strong bitter bite, spicy and light to medium light hop burn in the throat; oily grapefruit zest, herbs, green/grass, bitterness is growing with every sip and lasts quite long in the aftertaste, alcohol is hidden
OVERALL: almost old school West Coast IPA bitterness, light hop burn and slightly restrained Citra hop fruitiness; typical Lobik drinkability for 8% abv
