Deep, dark brown with a frothy tan head and a mellow roasted malt aroma. Relatively one-dimensional with nothing much beyond the roasted malt and dry bitter finish, but all done very well without tantalising the taste buds

Half pour at the Waterguard. Black and creamy, silky beige head. Not cask, but sur elooks like it. Roasty aroma, as expected. Taste is more roast and a lot of dryness. Light bitterness. Pretty solid stout, from the old school.
