Deep, dark brown with a frothy tan head and a mellow roasted malt aroma. Relatively one-dimensional with nothing much beyond the roasted malt and dry bitter finish, but all done very well without tantalising the taste buds

Fra fat på Glasshouse Stores, med Egil: nesten helt svart med lekkert cremeskum helt ned. Espresso og mørke 70%-sjokolader og et hint av modne bjørnebær. Tørr og god maltkropp. En superb stout.

Half pour at the Waterguard. Black and creamy, silky beige head. Not cask, but sur elooks like it. Roasty aroma, as expected. Taste is more roast and a lot of dryness. Light bitterness. Pretty solid stout, from the old school.

Tap. Brown Bear, Sheffield. Clear, dark brown. Creamy beige head. Nose has light roast malt. Some coffee. Cocoa powder. Taste is roast malt bitter. Some sugary coffee sweetness. Medium body. Low carbonation. Hefty bitterness to finish. Tasty gear.
