Cream coloured head over dark Armenian brandy-coloured beer. Chocolate, brandy, liqueurish as plum liqueur, bonbons. Ripe banana, chocolate, wood, cognac, higher alcohols, nutcake. Dried red/dark fruit. Chewy to viscous, alcoholheat, adequate carbonation. Well! Not all White Pony is poor. Not all Eutropius either... Txs to Stef!

Deep dark brown colour, beige foam. Sweet, boozy with notes of caramel, dried fruit, brown sugar, light cognac in the finish. Nice sipper.

White Pony often gets it right with its quadrupels. And now I have one that is aged in cognac barrels. This 33 cl bottle was obtained from a friendly and responsive retailer in Belgium recently. The pour is made into a Chimay glass and I determine a dark cola colored liquid finished by a representative head of parchment brown foam. I take a smell and get an immediate response of a heavy boozy alcohol presence along with hard candy, grain and ripe fruit. The glass is raised for a drink. Pretty fine, all in all. Candi sugar, malt, figs, booze from the cognac barrels, dark bread, cherries and some earthiness. The brewer continues to deliver with this nice sipper.
