Dřevo

Dřevo (which means Wood) is one of the most special beers we have ever made in our brewery. It is based on our Vanocni, which makes it a 19 plato Doppelbock. This beer was kept in the tank for over two months on American oak, which gave it wooden tones with hints of Bourbon and vanilla. We achieved this by adding 240 planks of American oak directly into the tank. The beer has hints of caramel with smooth zest and with regards to its high alcohol volume, it is dangerously drinkable. The whole idea came from our Michal Vesely, who was inspired by Oak Aged Doppelbock from German brewery Camba Bavaria, and by our Vanocni. At first, he brewed this beer at home together with his father and then proudly showed the result to the rest of our team. We liked it so much that we decided to brew it for you as well!
