Brewed just once a year, Anniversaire is a celebration of everything we at Burning Sky love about saisons. Lightly spiced in the boil, this special edition beer was fermented and aged entirely in French Chardonnay Barriques using our house saison and a blend of wild yeast strains.

Bottle from Etre, aged a bit. Clear golden with white head. Fresh citrus, light oaky funk, some minerals, slightly peppery. Light lingering tartness. Nice one!

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from the BS online shop. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white topping. Lightly sweet, nice pale wood, strong peppery notes, subtle acidity, mild funk. Light bodied with delicate, massaging carbonation. Little more sweetness in the finish, soft citric notes, more pepper, white pepper, modest pale wood dryness, restrained funk. Great fun overall, good depth. Excellent.

Flaska från Etre. Gulorange, disig med vit krona. Bra fräschör, citrus, snäll funk och syra, riktigt snygg touch från rosépepparn som ger en riktigt fin och subtil pepprighet genom smakbilden. Gifter sig snyggt. Mycket gott.

Panda at home thanks to Colin. A mostly clear straw yellow coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is lovely elderflower, bubblegum, straw, lemongrass. Flavour is composed of tart grains, lemon rind, musty funk, floral elderflower notes, straw, white wine , light spice in the finish. Palate is light tart, light grains, moderate carbonation. Good stuff.

Nose is lemon tinged straw, light funk, crisp apple skins, tangy green berry must, yeast esters. Taste comprises grass, light herb, lemon rind, gooseberry notes, hay bale, yeast tickle, light white peppery spice, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine to lightly spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Solid well constructed saison.

Draft. A golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of fruit, spices, yeast, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, brett, yeast, spices, and malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle. Burning Sky online. Lightly hazy, medium gold. Thin covering of just off white foam. Nose has light oak. Preserved lemon. Some sweet grain. Touch of funk. Taste errs toward sweet and grainy. Modicum of tartness. Light to medium body. A little slick. Soft carbonation. Light tartness to finish. Seems not quite right rating a beer like this so fresh, as there’s no doubt it’ll turn into a blinder, just like the 2016 did recently. But. You know. Ticking and shit. Still fucking way better than most out there though.
