Crisp, Flavourful, Refreshing. East Anglian malt and Goldings hops combine for a crisp, refreshing lager that’s full of flavour. A modern classic, straight from London’s back garden.

Bottle from Minster Tavern, Ely. Light yellow with a nice white head. Fizzy. Grainy, malty smell. The taste holds a bit more sweetness than expected from the aroma, with a satisfying bittersweet finish. Well-carbonated. A decent enough lager but not something I’d drink all night.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Crisp golden colour with little if any head. Subtle aroma of fruit and bitter sweetness, with a fairly sweet flavour.

Keg @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a small head and a carbonation. Fairly ordinary lager which is somewhat of a disappointment considering the brewers portfolio.

Bottle. Appearance- golden, hazy, frothy pure white head which quickly diminishes, not leaving much. Aroma- not a great deal- malt, cereal, grain, slight hoppiness. Taste- smooth, medium mouthfeel, bitter hops, cereal and wheat, hop resins, short finish. An ok lager.

Bottle. Gold with a white head. Aroma of hay, flowers, light spices, a little lemon. Promising. But weak and watery palate, some paper. There’s just no presence to the malt at all. Moderate bitter finish where the suggestions of Saaz return just to mock.

Keg at Brew Wharf, 28/12/13. Clear golden with a thin white head that dissipates to pondwork, carbonation is evident. Nose is pale malts, straw, light citrus fruit. Taste comprises faint citrus notes, straw, lightly toasted and pale malts, grain, lemon rind. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, dry crisp finale. Ok lager.
