Crisp, Flavourful, Refreshing. East Anglian malt and Goldings hops combine for a crisp, refreshing lager that’s full of flavour. A modern classic, straight from London’s back garden.

Light haze on this gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is light and crisp and semi dry. Fresh minerals. Light pale malt. Dry finish. Not much else going on. A poor show from Meantime - they can do much better than this.

Tap at the Union Tavern - Westbourne Park, London. Pours clear, pale yellow with a foamy white head. Simple doughy malt nose, some straw. Light sweet flavor with delicate doughy biscuits, very slight straw bitterness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Balanced finish, more doughy pale malts and straw. Very tasty. Simple.

4.5% on sale at 250 yen from Rakuten. Decent mild fruity grass aroma on a clear straw colored body with fluffy white foam. A clear lager with a tiny bit of a bitter finish over a medium body. A good palate cleanser but boring to drink all the time. But a pretty decent lager, not exciting but palatable.

(Bottle) Clear pale amber with short lived loose white head. Grassy aroma with slight citrus hint. Light and fizzy. Flavour starts with light malt and citrus tang shifts to slight bitterness with a flinty edge.

Bottle from Sainsbury. Poured a clear light straw colour with a long-lasting thin frothy head. A slightly malty aroma, but you have to try hard to smell anything. Smooth malty flavour with minimal bitterness and nothing on the palate. It’s drinkable when cool and I wouldn’t turn my nose up if offered this beer in a pub. I’d rather drink this than a Carling or a Heineken. However, I don’t think Meantime are doing themselves any favours in brewing this beer. It’s a "run of the mill" pilsner with little flavour and Meantime are so much better than that. They should not accept mediocrity, which is what this beer really is.
