Bottle. Pours clear amber with off white head. Nose of pumpkin, all spice and deodorant. Taste is pumpkin, banana and light all spice. Medium body.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a huge foamy orange-white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was faint dry nutmeg, dust and a hint of cinnamon. The flavor was bitter and tart with sourdough bread and faint notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, clove and dust. The finish was medium length dry spices. Medium body. Ok.

Big thanks to my son in law nate for this brew. Smells a little alky, like old lager. A little pumpkin and spice on the taste buds but tastes moslty like other shock tops. Background with a little orange and wheat, very little pumpkin.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange copper with a small frothy off white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is cinnamon and spice. Thin mouthfeel with a clove and nutmeg flavor. Not much going on with this one.

Crisp, very slightly hazy copper coloured body with a thin, fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of light wheat, some light pumpkin pie spice, a touch of allspice and a very small amount of squash. Medium-bodied; Some body from the squash is actually noticeable, a touch of wheat, a little yeast and yes, even some light spices come out in the initial tastes. Aftertaste is a bit less defined with some light wheat tastes, a bit of an earthy roundedness and a light touch of spices at the tail end. Overall, not as bad as I thought it would be, and quite simply, not the worst pumpkin beer i’ve had - that said, it doesn’t have nearly enough flavour or complexity to be one of the better beers for the time. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 04-September-2011 for US$1.15 sampled at home in Washington on 19-September-2011.

Bottle @ home. Hazy, reddish orange appearance with a small tan head. Nutmeg, vanilla, cinnamon, moderately spicy, slightly toasty, wheat malty nose. Wheat malty flavor with a ton of spices- cinnamon and nutmeg, especially. Bleh.

12oz bottle from Pick’s poured into a lager glass. Pours a nice cloudy orange color with about 1 finger of off-white head. Aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla and pumpkin. Taste is lightly sweet. Taste of cinnamon and pumpkin. Light bodied with a thick texture. Lively carbonation but not much of a finish. Overall, it’s pretty damn good. Much better than I was expecting from the Shock Top brand.

Pour is a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is a light pumpkin and some spice. Flavor has a more pronounced pumpkin with a spicy finish. Not a bad beer. Pumpkin and spice are there but not over the top as some beers
