12 oz bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. 6.45% ABV stamped on the neck. Clear golden orange with just over a finger of off-white head. Aromas of light pumpkin, spices, bits of herbs. Tastes of pumpkin, light spices, hints of nutmeg, some floral hops and crisp notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Simple pumpkin ale but solid.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a ruddy orange to brown color with a decent one finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than a minute. The lacing was somewhat thick and not so clingy as it slid right into the body.
The smell had a good amount of pumpkin with some light ginger, allspice and light cinnamon.
The taste took those flavorings and seemed to have combined them all nicely.
On the palate, this one sat fairly light at times, but did end up displaying sometimes a resemblance to a medium body. There’s a decent sessionable aspect to this one.
Overall, this is definitely one of the better pumpkin ales on the market. I would love to get this again if ever possible.

This autumn brew has a good spicy pumpkin aroma. The flavor is of sweet malt, mild spice, and more hops bitterness than is typical for pumpkin ales. It’s fairly good, just nothing special.

Pour is a cloudy copper with a large white head. Aroma is a decent nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin combo. Flavor is just about the same. Nice mix of the spices and a decent pumpkin flavor. Not as over the top as some and it is a bit watery but this will satisfy your pumpkin need when all other pumpkin beers have disappeared.

Rating from 2010, 5.6%. Ein amerikanisches Bier mit Kürbis und Gewürzen, die mitvergoren wurden. Der Geruch ist süßlich, irgendwie nach Seife, Die Farbe schön hell orange und leicht trüb. Der Antrunk des Bieres ist leicht wässrig und sehr mild. Dann kommt sofort eine sehr deutliche Herbe Note durch, die stark an ein IPA bzw. Bitter erinnert. Sehr schönfrisch und hopfenaromatisch. Im Hauptteil kommt eine ganz leicht süßliche Note zum Vorschein, die vom Kürbis herzurühren scheint. Sie hält sich aber doch hinter der herben Note im Hintergrund und passt sich sehr schön in den Nachgeschmack mit ein, wo die Herbe ein ganz Bisschen in den Hintergrund tritt. Den freiwerdenden Raum nimmt der Kürbis ein, den ich glaube nun auch deutlicher und angenehm süßlich hervorschmecken zu können. Auf der Zunge bleibt neben der frisch-bitteren IPA-Note eine angenehme, aber leicht an Seife erinnernde Süße.
→ Nette Mischung von Bier und Kürbis. Für meinen Geschmack sehr gelungen, nur vielleicht ein Bisschen zu aufdringlich herb.!

Bottle. Deep golden body. Frothy white head. Aroma of all spice, cinnamon, clove, toasted grain. The flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Lots of fall spices in this beer, but plenty of bitterness, too. Nice that’s it’s not a sweet pumpkin pie type of pumpkin ale.

Sample at Hal & Al’s during the Pumpkin Beer Tasting on 10/15/2013: Murky orange color with a medium foamy white head that dissipates gradually. Small patches of lacing. Pumpkin, malt and nutmeg in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of toasted malt, ginger and pumpkins. The finish is sweet with a toasted pumpkin aftertaste. Decent overall.

Single bottle from Lemon Tree. Definitely shows signs of pumpkin, with its cloudy orange color. White head that’s thick, but very fragile. Smell carries pumpkin pie spices, but does not depend so much on cinnamon and nutmeg. Spice is very much on the front of the palate. But there’s also some roast pumpkin and a note of brown sugar. Overall impression is malty rather than sweet or dry, with a side order of spices. Further down, they tend to increase in strength until you get closer to a Christmas wassail than a Thanksgiving pie. But it would go well with a dry, baked turkey.
