Gravity cask at the Drayman’s Son, Ely. Purplish brown, translucent. Plummy perfumey aroma, like Japanese plum wine, with hints of dark chocolate. Mega-sweet fruity taste. It’s nice in its way but has a tinge of plasticky artifice. Some hop bitterness in the long imbalanced finish. Thin body. Passable but not my favourite St Peters effort.
