Pours a clear, darker golden color, topped with a small white head. A very mild malty aroma, slightly fruity and some caramel notes. The taste starts with some fruity notes, followed by a fairly moderate bitterness. A nice surprise actually, very drinkable and enjoyable.

Bottle at Noels House whilst watching the cheating fucking Kiwis scrape a 20-15 win over England B, 07/06/14. Clear rich golden with a well appointed light beige covering. Nose is biscuit malt, light spice, woody rinse, nutmeg, dark fruits. Taste comprises earthy tones, light mineralisms, spice, hint of orange, dark fruit, figgy jam, pineapple jus. Medium bodied, soft carbonics, light bitter splatterings at the curtain call. Decent enough bottled bitter - again a lot better than the many mediocre micro cask offerings that show their faces in the provinces!

Bottle, 0.50l. Slightly cloudy deep golden color with medium creamy white head, good lacing and soft visible carbonation. Aroma of grapefruit, cereals, biscuit malt and mild tropical fruits. Taste starts with moderate sweet malt, following is fresh fruity, mouthfeel is quite astringent, while finish is moderate bitter. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation. Simple and tasty, one of the best bitters...

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tempo. Thanks kerenmk. 4.4%. Clear golden. Aroma of malt, citric notes, a buttery touch and faint hops. Flavor is slightly sweetish and malty with mild hoppiness, slightly citric and earthy, and mild bitterness. Medium-bodied.

Pale golden beer with a thin, bubbly head. Aroma has light floral and citrus elements. Flavour has a hint of that too as well as biscuit and sweet caramel in the finish. Not spectacular but tasty and very drinkable.
