Golden Angel is patiently and painstakingly aged in 500L puncheons with 1 pound per gallon of fresh, whole apricots. After maturation in these neutral oak vessels, this sour is re-fermented on an additional 4 pounds per gallon of apricots to impart a rustic stone fruit character. A total of 5 pounds per gallon of fruit renders Golden Angel the absolute essence of apricot in a glass. Bottle @ Klimaet Cellar Clearance. Hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is dry, malty, fruity, tart, rubber balloons and heavy sulphur - much like fireworks at newyears. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate acidic. Dry and moderate acidic finish. 030217

Bottle @ "Klimaet Cellar Clearance", 7%. Unclear pale yellow with tiny head. Aroma is malt, sulphur, fruit, apricots, rubber balloons and lemon. Flavour is malt, fruit, lemon, little sulphur, tart, little citric, wood, medium sweet, apricots and a little dry. Weird.

Bottle shared. Very hazy dull orange with barely any head. Aroma of tart apricot, light but ok lactic notes, light oak and a very light dry funk. Flavour is moderate sour. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation. Really grew on me as I drank it and ended up raising my rating slowly for a 3.5 to a 3.8.

Bottle thanks to silver falcon. Pours hazy orange butterscotch, small off white head, decent lacing. Aroma is light funk, apricot and other stonefruit, a bit of acetone, oak. Flavor is light plus tart, light cheesy funk, oak, apricot. Tasty. Medium body.

Bottle @ home, thanks to b3shine for sending! Pours a cloudy yellow orange appearance with a thin white head. The aroma has plenty of lactic acid, funk, tropical fruit (pineapple, mango), stone fruit (apricot, peach), and oak/vanilla. Moderate to moderate low sourness. Soft lactic acid. Nice peach / apricot flavor. This is the kind of sour that I enjoy drinking more than a thimble of. Not hard to drink, good flavor, good beer. Thanks Beau!

Sample at the Funkatorium. Hazy bright orange color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of funky yeast, apricots and oak. Medium body with flavors of funky apricots, earthy yeast, oak and malt. The finish is moderately sour with an apricot and citrus aftertaste. Really good beer all around.
