Cask @ The Heart of Northumberland. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sweet malt, fruits, flowers, little grass and has a nice bitter finish.

Third, cask in fine condition at The Heart of Northumberland, Hexham. A misty late straw coloured body, crocheted lacing from a transparent layer. Promising aroma of ripe citrus. Flavoured with grain and herbal hops. Rounded, light bittersweet finish. Easy to drink. Nice. (08.02.2019).

Gyldenbrun. Lavt tett skum. Tynn teppelacing. God nøttearoma. Smaken mere nøtter med innslag av blomster. Antydning til gress i avslutningen.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Almost clear golden. Rich aroma of hay and citrus. Dry with light-medium body and crisp, well rounded mouthfeel. Bready with elderflowers. Long bitter finish. Pleasant and moreish.

21/7/2018. Cask at the Heart of Northumberland, Hexham. Pours clear very pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, malt, grass, and light tropical fruits. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Easy drinking, decent golden ale.

Shared 500 ml bottle at Tau Slipp. ABV is 4%. Golden colour, white head. Moderate aroma, a hint of citrus and cornflakes. Light bodied and refreshing, but a bit boring. Hints of citrus, cornflakes and grain. Allendale can do better than this.

Med Fridtjofen på slipp på Tau: flaske fra Gulating Stavanger, delt med skibsrederen og seremonimester Melberg: lett uklar gylden med fint skum. Behagelig og høflig engelsk inntrykk med fin humlekombo i en delikat maltkropp. Så hvorfor blir jeg ikke begeisteret? Kanskje fordi jeg synes golden ale stort sett er en kjedelig stil. Lett å drikke, lett å glemme.

Bottle shared with JMD and SM on board Fridtjofen at Tau slipp og båtbyggeri 31.08.17. Pale golden. White head and lacing. Aroma and taste of A,erican hops, marmalade and wine gum.
