Our brewers selected flavour packed, slow kilned ale malt, caramalt and biscuity malted wheat to craft a malt backbone which is then beautifully complemented by a heady hop aroma of zesty lemon and orange citrus. This golden ale finishes refreshing and moreish.
Hops: First Gold, Cascade, Fuggles, Citra, Centennial

Ricky white head left a froth on a translucent pale golden still body. Light citrus, floral & pale malt aroma. Medium bodied, well carbonated, light on the tongue & cloying on the back. Zesty tasting with faint citrus, summer berry, faint malt & a pithy finish. Quaffable

20/10/2019. Cask at the Cricketers, Ipswich, last day of the 40th anniversary beer festival. Poured golden amber with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma of hops, malt, fruit, light butter, grain and flowers. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Best of the 3 thirds had here tonight. 2/10/2025. Cask at Cricketers again. See photo. No rating change.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A clear orange coloured pour with a a loose white head. Aroma is toffee, some buttered bread, dried fruit, some raisin, low diacetyl. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty malts, twiggy, leafy hop, some raisin loaf. Fine. Palate is semi sweet, decent cask condition. Ok.

Clear dark golden colour, large dense white head; aroma of lemony, floral fruity and biscuity-malty notes; taste is the same with some metalloc bitterness; not bad

Golden color. Very malt focused with nice backbone, but ultimately very boring.

Cask, 4.1% at the Wharf. Mild grassy hop aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Stable frothy white head. The flavour is mostly grassy. Has a little green apple in the finish. Distinct bitterness, but clean. A standard and decent golden ale.
