Inspired by the famous Lakeland fell-walker Alfred Wainwright, our master brewers go the extra mile too. They search near and far for quality English malt and hops and tirelessly craft unique combinations worthy of the Wainwright name, like this delightfully refreshing Golden Beer. Lightly hopped with subtle sweetness, a delicate citrus aroma and a gloriously golden colour. Enjoy

Shared bottle at RB/HD at Fjøløy 02.09.16. Clear golden. Quickly diminishing white head. Aroma and taste of old pale malt, cardboard and fruits. Moderate hop bitterness throughout. Slightly metallic.

Shared 500 ml bottle, as Thwaites Wainwright Golden Ale, bought in London. ABV is 4.1%. Clear golden colour, moderate white head. Sourish and dusty aroma, hints of old jam. The flavour is better, fairly decent hops throughout. Medium dry, light bodied.

Lys brun klar med fingerhøyt hvitt skum. Lite lukt, noe karamell. Også lite smak, men den er sødmefull. Typisk engelsk pubale fra tapp. Kort.

Bottle from M&S Stratford and drunk at home. Clear pale gold colour lasting white head. Pasteurised aroma no doubt. Some light dusty hay hop. A little hop character I suppose but it’s mostly pasteurised and light in flavour and character. Hmmm. 2.8/5. Bottle from colleagues. I mean better than I said before. a golden bitter. light session beer easy drinking some citrus flavour orange and apple. worth re rating. english yeast character with some light burton. some mineral. yep fine.
