Hazy, reddish-amber. Vague aroma is toast-accented. Very bland, flat and oily. Hardly anything across the palate at all. Very disappointing.

Draught@brewpub. Ambery colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, some grass, mild saltwatery notes as well as mild diacetylic toffee. Flavour is quite much the same. A quite pleasant vienna, though the saltwatery notes are not the best.

On tap at the brewpub 3/11/07. Amber with a moderate white head. Malty aroma with some red fruit and orange hops. Flavour was malty with a dry finish. Good, but nothing like as good as the Schwarzbier.

Amber color, small off-white head. Barley and lemony hops in the nose. Earthy, woody-grassy hoppy flavor. Notes of mould. Leafy hoppyness in the aftertaste. A bit off-balanced and not my favourite among Altstadthof’s beers.

Earthy fruit aroma. Red amber colour, creamy off-white head. Grainy malt, earthy fruit, peach. Medium to light body, smooth mouthfeel. Brilliant beer!
