Brewed to the traditional East Midlands style, Preservation is a mid-brown/reddish easy drinking full flavoured best bitter is well rounded with some residual sweetness which is balanced with a resinous hop character. A hugely popular beer that deserves to be savoured!

Cask, Rook and Gaskill, York. Reddy brown colour with a medium sized creamy off white head. Aroma was malty with notes of tobacco and wood. Flavour was pretty unremarkable, lightly fruity with some bitterness towards the finish. Nothing to shout about especially.

From cask at Brew Wharf beer festival. Pours clear and golden orange with a small, dense and creamy off-white head. Aroma is breadish and malty, light roasted note. Bitter, light grassy and vague fruity hops flavoured with a nice roasted malt base. Bitter and dry finish.

Cask at the Brunswick, Derby. Gold with a thin white head; caramel aroma; slightly sour plummy fruit flavour with chewy malts and a gentle bitter finish.

Cask gravity @ Reading Beer Festival 2008.Clear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, licorice notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, and a dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. (030508)

Cask handpull at Nottingham BF 2007. Copper/orange, thick creamy head. Fruity, clean tasting bitter. Too tight a sparkler, good hop on end. Creamy, tasty and berry fruity.
